We have had a very busy week and have seen most of the mission now. We started on Monday with Knoxville zone. The day we drove to Asheville for their zone conference it was a drive of about 2 1/2 hours. We had to get up early to make the 9:00 meeting time. Besides introducing ourselves dad gave a little talk about staying healthy. He did a good job. The missionaries that have health problems seem very grateful to be able to talk to him so after he spends time stalking to those with concerns. Asheville is somewhere we have been before since Rob and Flori introduced us to this part of our mission when they lived in North Carolina. This area includes some of their favorite places like Sky Top apple orchard and Hendersonville and Maggie Valley. We passed by all of these on the way to Asheville. I also found out that my dad spent time in Asheville on his mission. The Cherokee reservation is in this mission and I remember my dad spent time on the Indian reservation out here. The Biltmore mansion is also in this mission. We went there with Rob and Flori when Maddie Eloise and Sarah were just little. The next day we went to Cumberland Gap which was about 1/2 hour away so not to far. After the meeting which was a training meeting of about 4 hours. We then had to go inspect apartments that missionaries lived in in these areas. We would bring things they needed and some of the mail that comes to mission office. Some of these places are so far away from the mission office so they loved having the things brought to help them. Things like light bulbs, cleaning supplies. Broom or mop or a new vacuum or box spring or anything like pans or shower curtains. We then go through the apartment and see what needs to be cleaned or taken care of better. If they do really well they get a candy bar picture in the newsletter and a perfect score. I gave one of these out during the week. We often take things that are junk and clutter from other missionaries that left things in the apartment. Most of the time they appreciate the advise and the way we get them to see things that could be done better and to be more organized. Most of them have closet space but lots of suitcases were just left out on the floors in the bedroom. So in the week we did 8 inspections. They take about 45 minutes. Dad does some of the things like putting doors back on cupboards checking smoke detectors. So after Cumberland we went down to Chattanooga which is about 2 1/2 away again. The last place is the Kingsport zone that is almost to the top of the mission not far from Virginia. We are glad to not be driving anymore for awhile. But we were grateful to meet all the missionaries in the mission. We did meet Sister Lundburg and she was so excited to know that we were related to the Rob Christensen family. She said they really loved Rob and family and she is excited that they are moving to Provo. She leave the mission this month. We got to hear her last testimony at the zone conference in Kingsport. She loves the south also. We will be back on our regular schedule this next week. We still keep trying to do missionary work. We introduce ourselves to people just outside the apartment and we also try to help the missionary work in our ward. We help a young mother who has a truck driving husband and so is alone most of the time. she has a little girl. We have visited a man that is single year old convert and lives with parents that don't like mormons. We have hopes to help in anyway we can as we open our mouths. We love you all and appreciate the letters we have received from you. We love hearing from you Thank you for pictures or news from home. Are my observation skills so awful that I didn't even notice that she was in exercise clothes???
