We have had a very interesting past week. We went to bed on Tuesday evening not knowing who our next president would be and when we got up on Wednesday morning we found out that Hillary Clinton is not going to be our president like we thought she would. Needless to say, we are surprised. One thing we can say--we are glad the election is over.
We have been busy with our next cycle of Zone Conferences. We went to Kingsport Zone on Thursday and then Asheville Zone on Friday. The training is really great--it includes training on the new Christmas initiative called "Light the World". You are probably hearing about it too. It is a beautiful initiative to get the members to shine their "light" by serving each day of the first 25 days of December beginning with a Ward service project as part of the Worldwide Day of Service. There will be a beautiful video available to show investigators at the end of this month. You can see it on mormon.org/download. Our next week will be another week of travel to the rest of the zones for Zone Conference.
On the way home from Asheville, NC, this past week we got the two other senior couples together and we stopped at Dollywood for the evening. Dollywood is in Sevierville area about 30 miles to the east of Knoxville. We went to dinner there and then to a show. The show is called "It's a Wonderful Life" and is a musical version of the classic movie with Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed. It was so well done. After the show we were able to see all the Christmas lights they have there too. We are so fortunate to have opportunities to do some fun things on our off hours.
We continue to pray for you'all.
