This week has been one of teaching opportunities for us.  We visited a recent convert of about a year who has gone inactive in the Church already.  He has gotten addicted to video games and goes to play video games on Sunday instead of to Church.  We talked to him and got him to commit to come to Sacrament meeting this week--and he did!  He sat by us in the meeting.  He didn't stay for the whole block of meetings but at least he came to Sacrament meeting.  We told him he had to come next week again (Grandparents like us are old and we can boss people around).

We went with the young Elders to teach another man who is a new convert who has lots of problems in his family.  He was baptized but still does not know much about the Church.  We helped teach him about Prophets and the Restoration.  It is fun to be part of missionary work.

Another notable thing we did this week was attend our District Meeting with the young missionaries. It was our first time going.  It was really enjoyable.  We participated in role-play teaching with the other missionaries to practice our teaching skills.

We are going to be on the road all this next week with the Mission President going to Zone Training Meetings.  We will be there to take care of any medical questions/issues that missionaries have.  We will also be doing some missionary apartment inspections too.

To answer some of Ana's questions this week:

1.  Do you remember how many grandchildren you have?  Yes, we have 18

2.  Have you been liking your mission so far?  Yes, we love the work we do.  We love the people we work with.  We aren't so fond of the narrow, winding, hilly roads, however.

3.  How long have you been in the mission field?  a little over 2 months.

4.  Have you gotten a person who wants to learn about the gospel?  No, but we are praying for one and we talk to a lot of people about the Church and there are some possibilities.

5.  Ana asked her friend to go to Church and she said, "No."  Ana asked how to get her to go to Church.  We think you should pray for her by name, don't give up, ask her to come to your home to play, invite her to Achievement Days or some other activity,  tell her that you love your Church and it makes you feel good because you are doing what the Lord wants, and then be patient with her and just be her friend even if she doesn't do anything to try.
